I just ended a 4 year relationship with Superb. We were unmanaged and paid around $900/year. In the first 3.5 years we suffered 3 disk failures (hardware failures). Superb would always replace the bad disks but it would often takes days and cost support credits. After the 3rd failure, we discovered that 1 of their techs connected jumpers wrong and the power supply to the box was faulty. (One of our techs went to visit and take a look at the box). Our back ups were on a separate disk in the same machine. We lost everything. It took 1 month to get a working server back up and running. During that month we were forced to sign up for extra support credits at $60/mo. In that time we had started over elsewhere. We decided to relocate permanently elsewhere and didn't use the server at all for the last 6 months. We canceled at the end of the contract. Superb slapped us with a bill for an additional month saying we had to give 30 days notice. They double billed us for the prorated service credits. As I was protesting the bill, they charged my credit card for $900 (what they said was 1 month + the prorated service. When I contested this charge they told me I was on automatic billing. When the rep checked she saw that I was actually on manual billing. (Automatic billing should have been charged at the end of the old contract. This charge came thru more than 1 month later). They should have never charged my card - they did not have permission. So far they have been silent on the issue. The bank is making e file a police report which I will be doing tomorrow.
Beware! This guys will charge your card whatever comes to their mind without permission. they charged me for a support request which they never solved and they gave me bad information trying to leach support credits for 3 days till finally they got me a ticket with Plesk which they are the only one to be able to submit for me and Plesk solved it in 5 minutes. the next day the charged my card without my permission and they wouldn't answer te phone to response. add to that things are always messy with the server out of the blue. STAY AWAY
